Landimpact can provide an installation service for new properties, retrofit an existing garden, or a space within a garden to grow food; it might be just setting up a composting area, or installing a greenhouse to compliment some existing food growing. In keeping with our focus on low-impact design we want to reduce a project’s material inputs and labour. This helps to reduce the cost to our customers but more importantly reduce an installation’s ecological footprint ie. Just simply reducing resource inputs and particularly using second hand, recycled or salvaged resources will substantially reduce yours, and our footprint.

We generally install up to 50m2 on new properties, larger installations would be outsourced.* In a retrofit situation in an existing garden we are more open to installing larger projects but as with new properties it would be subject to the conditions* below.

We encourage our customers to be engaged in the installation process, to help with sourcing materials and inputs for their project either online or in salvage yards etc as this does reduce our time in sourcing (and your cost). Also, where possible be involved with construction as ‘extra hands make lighter work,’ and more fulfilling for all involved.

*Subject to what is proposed as part of a design, the timeframe available for installation and willingness of the customer to be involved in the installation process.
